I am 25 years old and haven't had a period in 3 years.
I have been to numerous doctors and they have put me on Provera and said that it is quite normal. I have just started progestrone cream I purchased from Walmart.
Preg is not what I'm aiming for but if it happens in the process then that is ok too.
I was using 400mg of progesterone cream twice daily but I am so ready for a period and the cream is just a long process.
My question is do I need a particular brand that would speed up the process.
I am kinda anxious to see after day 14 will I get a period. Hi there It's not normal at the age of 25 to have had no periods for 3 years, and irregular ones before that make me suspect poly cystic ovaries or insulin resistance. If not please do so, as both those cause anovulation or amenorrhea.
She is now 26 and has had 4 periods in a row 30-60 days each cycle. Good luck to you, I hope you are able to get balanced! After going off of the pill 3 yrs ago, my periods have only come approx. I told her what had been going on the past couple of years and what other docs had done or said. She put me on Metformin (its been about a year now) and later added Yaz because I still wasn't having normal cycles.
Six weeks after giving birth to my son my gyno said that I could start taking birth contol pills. She immediately agreed it was probably PCOS and ordered blood tests and a sonagram (spelling? I'm also taking an antidepressant for my mood swings and depression.
Provera has many adverse side affects, have you read the leaflet that comes with it? By doing that it means you are not making any progesterone.
